Study Concentration

Mass Communication

The “Mass Communication” study concentration prepares students to take on managerial positions in large mass media entities and small-to-medium scale production houses.  Mass communication refers to print, radio, television, film and audio-visual communication (including the new media).


Marketing Communication

The “Marketing Communication” study concentration prepares students for a career in Marketing Communication – whether products, ideas or services.  Marketing refers to the traditional 4Ps (product, price, place and promotion) and for the new Ps (process and perception). The major focuses on the use of communication for promotion purposes.


Journalism and Media Studies

The “Journalism and Media Studies” study concentration prepares students to become top-notch writers and reporters in the region – whether for magazines, newspapers, broadcast news or news features, etc.  Journalism upholds the function of media as the “Fourth Estate” of a democratic society.


Corporate Communication

The “Corporate Communication” study concentration prepares students to conceptualize, implement and evaluate public relations work of private and/or public institutions.  Public relations deals with the image of institutions vis-à-vis their internal and external publics.
