What is Internship?

Internship is defined as practical, in-depth on-the job training and exercises conducted within the confines of a well established organization, commercial or industrial group. It is known as the application of academic theories acquired in the classroom; and an appropriate relevant medium that will provide practical experiences to the intern. Therefore, this offers students the chance to extend learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom into professional work environments.

Generally, internship refers to any temporary work experience, in a for-profit or non-profit setting, with the dual purpose of learning while working.
