5 W 1 H in Public Speaking

When it comes to Public Speaking, we have this simple 5 W 1 H that we need to carefully notice in order to succeed it.

  1. Who is your audience?

Good public speakers have to make sure that they are well-prepared to deal with any kind of audience, however, suppose it’s way better if we know our audience before hand. To know the audiences in advance might help us to know the best approach to deal and interact with them.

  1. What are you going to talk about?

It’s a must to totally get what we are to talk about since the purpose to do public speaking itself is to deliver a message or information.

  1. Where are you going to do the speaking?

This matters because by knowing where are we going to do the presentation, we can adjust ourselves to the space within the venue and that might help us to be comfortable while doing the speaking.

  1. When are you going to do the speaking?

Back to the planning matter. By knowing when are we going to do the speaking, we can plan and measure if we are already ready to the speaking or not.

  1. Why are you going to do the speaking?

The purpose of doing the speaking must be known first because by knowing the purpose as in reason, we can evaluate ourselves whether we succeed delivering the message or not.

  1. How are you going to do the speaking?

So many speakers now have unique way of delivering or doing the speaking. Aside from the point of being unique, in general, we really how to determine how we do the speaking. Simply put, we have to find our way.
